Laser Hair Removal

Prices Vary

Description

Professional laser hair removal designed to reduce unwanted facial and body hair over time. At Renewd Med Spa in Everett, your treatment plan will be personalized around your skin, hair, treatment area, and goals.

The treatment uses targeted laser energy to address pigment within the hair follicle and help reduce future regrowth. Over time, treated hair may become finer, lighter, and less noticeable, helping reduce the need for frequent shaving, waxing, or other short-term hair removal methods.

Common treatment areas include the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest, areola area, and bikini line. The areas available for treatment will be confirmed during your consultation.

Hair color, thickness, skin tone, hormones, treatment area, and individual growth cycles can all affect how the hair responds. Your provider will review these factors before recommending a personalized treatment plan.

Renewd provides professional laser hair removal in Everett for clients throughout Snohomish County who want a more manageable, longer-term approach to unwanted hair.

What happens during the treatment

+

Your visit begins with a consultation and review of the area you would like treated. Your provider will assess your skin, hair characteristics, medical history, recent sun exposure, and goals before confirming whether treatment is appropriate.

The treatment area is cleansed and prepared, and protective eyewear is provided. Your provider then works systematically across the area using controlled laser pulses to target the hair follicles.

The length of the appointment depends on the size and number of areas being treated. Smaller areas may be completed relatively quickly, while larger or multiple areas require more time.

Before you leave, your provider will explain what to expect after treatment and review your post-treatment instructions.

What to expect

+

Laser hair removal is a process rather than a one-time appointment. Because individual hairs move through different growth cycles, multiple treatments are normally needed to address more of the active hair.

Many treatment plans begin with approximately 6 to 8 sessions. The exact number needed depends on the treatment area, hair thickness, skin and hair characteristics, hormonal factors, hair-growth cycle, and individual response.

Hair reduction develops progressively. Some treated hair may shed gradually after the appointment, and future regrowth may appear finer, lighter, or less noticeable.

Maintenance treatments may eventually be recommended, particularly in areas affected by hormonal hair growth.

After treatment, the skin may temporarily appear red, warm, slightly swollen, itchy, or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn. These effects are generally temporary and may settle within several hours.

Less common reactions can include pigment changes, crusting, inflammation, or blistering. Clients should contact Renewd if they experience an unexpected, severe, or persistent reaction.

Individual results and treatment experiences vary.

How to prepare

+
  • Protect the treatment area from direct sun exposure and tanning for at least four weeks before your appointment.
  • Do not use tanning beds or self-tanning products on the treatment area before treatment.
  • Shave the treatment area approximately 24 hours before your appointment unless your provider gives you different instructions.
  • Do not wax, tweeze, thread, sugar, or use electrolysis on the area for approximately six weeks before treatment. These methods remove the hair root that the laser needs to target.
  • Arrive with clean skin. Do not apply makeup, lotion, oil, deodorant, fragrance, or other products to the treatment area unless your provider has instructed you otherwise.
  • Tell Renewd about all medications and supplements you take, including aspirin, prescription blood thinners, antibiotics, acne medications, and medications that may increase sensitivity to light.
  • Do not stop a prescribed medication or blood thinner unless the clinician who prescribed it tells you to do so.
  • Please tell Renewd if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have recently tanned or had a sunburn, have an active rash or infection, have a history of cold sores or abnormal scarring, or recently had another procedure in the treatment area.
  • Treatment may need to be postponed if the skin is tanned, sunburned, irritated, injured, or otherwise not ready to be treated.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many laser hair removal treatments will I need? +

Many treatment plans begin with approximately 6 to 8 sessions. The exact number depends on the treatment area, hair thickness, hair-growth cycle, skin and hair characteristics, hormonal factors, and individual response. Your provider will recommend a personalized schedule after assessing the area.

Is laser hair removal permanent? +

Laser hair removal is best described as long-term hair reduction. Many treated hairs may stop returning, while others may eventually grow back finer, lighter, or less noticeable. Maintenance treatments may be recommended depending on the area and individual response.

What areas can be treated? +

Treatment areas may include the face, legs, arms, underarms, back, chest, areola area, and bikini line. Availability depends on the area, skin condition, hair characteristics, and provider assessment.

Does laser hair removal hurt? +

Treatment sensation varies by person and treatment area. Some people describe brief warmth, tingling, or a quick snapping sensation during each pulse. Your provider will explain what to expect and discuss comfort before treatment.

Can laser hair removal be used on different skin tones? +

People with a range of skin tones may be candidates for laser hair removal, but treatment must be selected and adjusted carefully. Your provider will evaluate your skin tone, hair color, recent sun exposure, medical history, and treatment area before recommending care.

Does laser hair removal work on blonde, gray, white, or red hair? +

Laser hair removal works by targeting pigment within the hair. Blonde, gray, white, and some red hair may contain too little pigment to respond effectively. Your provider will assess the hair before recommending treatment.

Can men book laser hair removal? +

Yes. Laser hair removal may be used for unwanted facial or body hair for both women and men. Available areas and treatment recommendations will be confirmed during consultation.

Is there downtime after laser hair removal? +

Most people return to normal daily activities quickly. Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, itching, or sensitivity may occur after treatment. Follow your provider's instructions and protect the treated area from direct sun exposure.

Why do I need several appointments? +

Hair grows in different stages, and laser treatment is most effective when the hair is in an active growth phase. A treatment series allows the provider to address more hair as it enters the appropriate stage.
