How your peel is selected
No single chemical peel is right for every person or every appointment.
Before the service begins, your provider will ask about your skincare routine, sensitivities, previous reactions, recent services, and current concerns. The peel is then selected based on that information and how your skin presents during the appointment.
This approach allows Renewd to adjust the service instead of forcing every person into the same peel.

What happens during the service
Your appointment begins with a conversation about your skin, current products, sensitivities, recent services, and what you would like to address.
Your skin will be cleansed and prepared before the selected peel is applied. The application method, number of layers, and amount of time on the skin will depend on the peel being used.
You may experience warmth, tingling, or tightness during the service. Your provider will monitor your skin throughout the appointment and remove or neutralize the peel when appropriate.
Finishing products and sunscreen will be applied based on what your skin needs after the service.
How much peeling to expect
Not every chemical peel causes visible peeling.
Depending on the formula and strength selected, your skin may feel dry or tight and may develop light flaking over the following several days. Other peel options may have little visible peeling.

How to prepare
- Follow any preparation instructions provided before your appointment.
- Pause retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, and other strong active products for 3 to 5 days if instructed.
- Avoid waxing or aggressive exfoliation near the service area.
- Avoid excessive sun exposure and arrive without a sunburn.
- Arrive with clean skin when possible.
- Tell your provider about skin sensitivity, medication changes, pregnancy, recent procedures, active irritation, or a history of cold sores.
Aftercare
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer.
- Apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every day.
- Avoid picking, rubbing, or manually removing flaking skin.
- Avoid retinoids, exfoliating acids, scrubs, benzoyl peroxide, and other strong active products until your provider says they can be resumed.
- Avoid excessive heat, direct sun, saunas, and heavy sweating for the period recommended after your peel.
- Wait to apply makeup based on the instructions provided for the peel selected.
