Your visit starts with a conversation about your skin, current routine, concerns, and goals. Your provider will review whether Microneedling is the right fit for you and explain what to expect before, during, and after treatment.
The skin is cleansed and prepared before the Microneedling device is used across the treatment area. The device creates controlled microchannels in the skin to support natural skin renewal.
After treatment, your skin may look pink or red, similar to a mild sunburn. Some people experience dryness, tightness, or light flaking as the skin settles. Your provider will review aftercare instructions and help you understand how to care for your skin after your appointment.

How to prepare
Arrive with clean skin and avoid makeup on the day of your appointment.
Before Microneedling, avoid retinol, exfoliating acids, harsh scrubs, and strong active skincare products unless your provider gives you different instructions. It is also best to avoid tanning, sunburn, or excessive sun exposure before treatment.
Please let Renewd know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active acne lesions, cold sores, open wounds, recent facial procedures, certain skin conditions, a history of herpes simplex, or have used isotretinoin or Accutane within the past 6 months.
Your provider will review your skin, routine, and any precautions before treatment so your care feels clear and safe.
Downtime
Most people should plan for 24 to 72 hours of visible recovery after Microneedling.
Your skin may look pink or red after treatment, similar to a mild sunburn. Some people may also experience mild swelling, tightness, dryness, sensitivity, or light flaking as the skin settles.
For the first 24 hours, avoid makeup unless your provider tells you otherwise. You should also avoid direct sun exposure, heat, sweating, saunas, pools, harsh skincare products, retinol, exfoliating acids, and picking or scrubbing the skin while it is healing.
Many people feel comfortable returning to normal daily activities quickly, but it is best not to schedule Microneedling right before an important event. Your provider will walk you through aftercare before you leave.
